Cindy and Scott saw the benefit at an early age of setting aside money for our retirement. Cindy retired from Horseheads School District and Scott from Corning Incorporated. They started out small and increased the amounts as their earning power increased. The savings habits and strategy they started in their 20’s and refined, as they grew older allowed them to be able to retire comfortably at 57 and 60 years old respectively.

Barb and Gary (deceased) Peck began working with a financial planner when their children were in middle school. The value that a financial planner brought to this family was to help establish a complete financial picture – from college planning through retirement. When Gary passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, Barb and the family had only to call the planner with the sad news. Thanks to the complete financial planning advice and guidance, all of the legal documentation was in place and the family did not need to add additional complexity at a very stressful time. They had all of Gary’s papers and wishes – beneficiaries, will, proxies, etc. The family’s experience with a financial planner brought peace of mind at one of the most difficult times any family can experience.
